10 Things Tuesday 1.

I’ve seen this going around for a while, you write a list of 10 things on Tuesday. I’m not going to say that I’m going to do this every week, the second I do that, I’ll get a massive headache and won’t be able to do it several Tuesdays in a row. OK here it goes, hopefully I’ll be able to come up with 10!

  1. Hopefully we won’t have power outages over Thanksgiving. They were predicting snow and 60 mile an hour winds here, yeah I said 60. The wind advisory was supposed to last all day tomorrow, but it was amended until 1 A.M tomorrow morning.
  2. I finally figured out how to use Feedbin, after about 6 years of trying! Lol it took that long because apparently there’s an overlay when you open links to articles, and it won’t open them directly. I didn’t realize that, and instead of opening links to the articles, it was opening the overlay links, which was making all sorts of problems. Now that I’ve found the overlays, and they’re easy to navigate to, I can use the service.
  3. Right now I’m using Waterfox as my default browser. It allows you to add feed readers, unlike Firefox. This way, if I want to subscribe to a feed in Feedbin, I can do so just by pushing the handy little button Waterfox offers on the feed’s page. Yeah, it still uses the preview for feeds. If Firefox would’ve taken out live bookmarks, and just kept the preview and the ability to add feed readers, that would’ve been fine with me.
  4. I’m getting fiber internet! We have a local ISP here that’s installing Fiber internet in my complex at the beginning of 20/20. I’m the first one to get it here, I had to place an order for service before they would start the install. I got a thing saying it was available in my area last week, and when I called them they said they would wire up the building, if someone wanted them to.
  5. As far as expense goes, I’m getting an upgrade. It will be a bit more than what my current ISP costs, but I believe good internet is always worth it.
  6. I went to worship night at my church last night. It was a lot of fun! I haven’t been to one of those in a long time. Last time they did one I wasn’t able to go.
  7. I have to say, I did enjoy laughing at the impeachment crazyness last week. I’m not a Trump supporter by any stretch of the imagination, I consider myself more libertarian than anything. However, there’s something about politicians making ridiculous statements that’s hilarious to me. Yeah so I laugh at both sides a lot, I honestly do!
  8. My mom and dad got me Instacart express again for Christmas this year! It’s a convoluted process as to how I have to go about that whole thing. I have to add the payment method of the person who’s paying.
  9. Instacart offers grocery gift certificates, but not one for the express yearly plan that I use to make deliveries free.
  10. As for having food from restaurants delivered, Doordash is what we have in our area for that. I’ve been using it, and it’s very quick! Yeah, it’s quick here, probably because we live in a fairly rural area.

Planning a daytrip.

I’m planning a daytrip next month. I’m looking forward to this, because it’s been like 4 years since I’ve been to the nearest big city to the north of us. So far, it’s tentative, because it’s based on Laurie’s other client having a doctor’s appointment up there next month. OK OK, we know she has a doctor’s appointment there, but a relative who’s going to be visiting her for Christmas might want to take her up there, instead of letting us.
Hopefully, Laurie can talk her into letting us, instead of her relative. I don’t remember the last time I was there around Christmas. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever been there around Christmas. That’s weird, because I’ve been to the SF bay area in December, and Vegas on Christmas day.

Late night blog post.

I’m waiting up for a short administrative hearing in Julian Assange’s case, so I thought I’d drop by here and post. Unfortunately today I overslept for church. This was strange, because after the spate of bad headaches I’ve had recently, my sleep cycle has been all messed up. I did sleep some during the day yesterday, and ended up going to bed around 1 in the morning. I woke up around 5, only to fall back asleep again, and not get up until about 8:30.
Sure I could’ve gotten myself ready and off to church. However, I didn’t because when I failed to wake up early enough, I wasn’t able to put a Liter of water in the freezer like I usually do. Therefore, I’d be going to church without water, which is something I don’t like to do. I also didn’t think I had time to eat before I got ready. I mean I probably did, but I really didn’t want to hurry. I’ll be setting my alarm for 7 next time.

I’ve had headaches for about a week and a half now. Thus the lack of blog post. I wanted to try and do NABloPoMo, but it was impossible, considering I got hit with a bad headache on the first day of the month. I got into the vicious cycle of not wanting to be awake with a headache, so sleeping all day, then waking up and having the headache get better at night, so I could actually do things. That just causes more headaches from lack of sleep.
Last week, I tried taking Melatonin, it only made my headache worse. Unfortunately, I have to take a lot to get any substantive results, like 6 or 7 10 MG pills. I don’t take it all that often for that exact reason. I don’t want to end up with a bad headache the next day. I usually only take it if I absolutely know I’m going to need sleep that night, like I’m going somewhere and/or doing something the next day.
